We are informed that god said, "Let there be light!" So why is it that it is the Devil goes by the name Lucifer (meaning bringer of light from the words Lux Ferre in latin, which in english mean bringer of light)?
If you wish to scratch the surface and look for parallels, there is Prometheus who brought fire/light to Mankind, for which a jealous zeus punished him with terrible pain.
Then there is Gautama Buddha who saved the swan that was shot by His cousin. Gautama won ownership of the swan because he nursed it back to health and His cousin's argument that he had shot it and therefore it was his, was rejected.
These are some of things I think of when I am lost in thought.
Indeed, Let There be Light, the light of our own thought process reflecting upon the information that we receive. To misquote Pink Floyd, all in all we're not just another brick in the wall. This was not what Lucifer, Prometheus and Gautama fought for! They fought to free us, not enslave us as zeus might have it.
Where did the word Issa or Isaac come from? Why does it sound so suspiciously like Eesha (another name of Mahadeva aka Shiva)? Who were the three Wise Men from the East? Why is knowledge of Jesus' early life largely missing? Why are there so many forbidden books in a certain religion? Who really gains by preventing light from appearing?
To misquote Heath Ledger or whoever wrote that line in that Batman movie, let us not allow anyone to make us take ourselves too seriously, for after all, what is Life without Gaiety and Laughter?
This is one Adonis who did not have too much trouble learning the alphabet ;). Well definitely not as good looking as Adonis.
